Bursera Palo Santo and Holder

Palo Santo

Plant your feet on the floor, drop your gaze, and with a Palo Santo stick in hand, tap into the history of this holy wood. Honoring its origins in spiritual ceremonies and cleansing practices deepens your connection to ritual and the world around you.

Open your eyes, and with the flick of your lighter, light your stick, and breathe in the citrusy, woodsy scent. Breathe out, and let go of the negativity you want to cleanse from your space.

Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens/Holy Wood) is a fragrant South American incense wood traditionally used for therapeutic, physical, and energy healing purposes. When burned, it produces aromatic smoke helping purify the air, inspire creativity, and cleanse energy with a pleasant woody and enriching scent.

Bursera Palo Santo

How To

Light the end of the stick until there is a small flame. Knowing that it may take up to 45 seconds of holding a flame to it, we recommend using a candle.

Once lit, let the Palo Santo burn for 10-20 seconds then blow out so only smoke remains. Then use the smoke to cleanse your space by painting the air with it. After, place your stick in a Palo Santo holder or fireproof bowl until the smoke ceases naturally which will take about a minute. Relight as needed.

Each stick can be relit several dozen times and Palo Santo ash can be sprinkled on top of plant-soil as a natural nutrient boost.

As with any flame, or lit item, take caution when burning.

Palo

Sustainable

At Bursera, we only source trees that have died naturally and have been resting on the forest floor for several years. Our harvesting process ensures that no living trees are ever cut down, period. Not only does this help preserve Palo Santo, it leads to the potent, effective, and premium quality that is expected of all Bursera products.

OK these are amazing. It smells like a nice clean light-bodied campfire. The smell is similar to cedar. When you light it, it quickly gives off a strong scent but it will linger for a considerable time. My room now smells woodsy a day after I light it. I was disappointed by the quantity at first but I have gotten plenty of use out of the first stick and I have only used like 10% of it so the quantity is perfect. It lights pretty easiy.Basically, everything is great.

I love these sticks. I burn as an alternative to candles. I don’t sneeze or cough with these burning. Smells great.

I want to stop using candles so I bought these to get rid of the smell. It burns easily and smells good!

I love these palo santo sticks. The actual stick smelled a bit chemically, but I chalk it up to importing protocol. Once burned I couldnt smell the chemicals, thankfully! I also love that a tree was planted when I purchased it. Wish there was a way for them to “prove” there was a tree planted, but I hope the company wouldn’t lie about something like that.

I appreciate that this company is sustainably harvesting their sticks from fallen trees. I’ve previously tried two other Santo Palo brands. The first brand I bought in a local store. It was very strong and got many thick short sticks for a fair price. The 2nd brand was a gift and weaker fragrance, skinny sticks which burnt fast. In comparison, this brand hits in the middle. Price is high for 5 sticks but sticks are thick size. Fragrant is medium/mild andvit burns very well. Quality is great but the scent is considerably less than a brand I’m accustomed to.

This does have a nice smell, but after burning it once, it becomes incredibly difficult to re-ignite. I feel like I’m wasting so much lighter fluid trying to get a tiny corner to just spark and not even fully catch fire. I will be looking for a different brand for my next purchase.

I’ve had many Palo Santo sticks over time, but I have to say these are the most fragrant (but not overwhelmingly so) sticks I have tried yet. You can tell that it is a high quality product because of how well they saturated the wood. The scent brings a nice calming sense to the room. On the topic of quality – not only is the packaging sleek and informative, it is VERY sustainably and ethically sourced. The packaging is recycled/recyclable and resealable for other future uses. They also include a little card informing you that they planted a tree on your behalf for the purchase. How cool is that?! You can tell the company put consideration and effort into making the product good for your home and the environment.

I received Palo Santo for a birthday gift, LOVE it! Burned it before company visited, and they loved it so much that I sent it to them for their birthdays!! Be sure to get the holder & follow the instructions. It smells luxurious!! You can burn each stick dozens of times.

    Solid product
This creates great smoke and the fragrance is lasting. However, it seems like most of it is Palo Santo, pressed together with another kind of wood? You can tell by the appearance that this isn’t pure Palo Santo that I’ve purchased many times in various Occult shops. The blocks are bigger and too uniform but still a decent product if you can’t get to an occult shop.

Why are there 5 pieces in the picture? It is true that in the written content, the number 3 is indicated… why then put 5 units in the picture if not to mislead?

    Pay attention. 3 units only.
Why post a picture with 5 pieces? It is true that in the text there are 3 units, why then put a picture with 5 pieces, if not to plant a deception?
