I’m very glad I got this set, and would certainly recommend it. This is a nice selection of quality hardware, especially for the price. Very handy to have around for repairs and projects. The bins are fairly full, but there’s room to add things if you need them – lock washers for instance, or hardware you already have laying around in other containers.Some negative reviewers complained the hardware sizes weren’t labeled on the lid. I considered this a plus. The cases are completely customizable, so you can reorganize or sort as desired. If you’re unfamiliar with hardware, there is a list in each case telling exactly what is in each section as shipped. If you know the difference between a 10-32 and a ¼-20, it’s not an issue.I purchased one additional empty case for other hardware that I use. The plastic cases are very sturdy, easy to take to a project site or just keep in the garage. As pictured, the cases latch together – great if you’re taking several somewhere, but a little awkward to use that way. Some reviewers have reported quality issues with the cases, I have not had any problems. Mine close and latch perfectly every time, and if you follow instructions they interlock and stay together with no difficulty.I’d say I would buy this again, but I think the cases will last a long while and will likely not need replacing. And of course if you use up a particular item, there are plenty more to replenish the collection at your local hardware store.

The set is awesome. Defenitely one gets their bang for the buck. My only issue is with their nomenclature for both the metric and SAE fasteners. There’s no such thing as #6 2″ or M6 x20mm – what happened to the pitch guys; one has to figure out on their own the pitch and I’m not the fan of “coarse thread is assumed” logic, I just would like to see it written down properly such as #4-40 x2.5″ etc but that’s just me. The payload itself is good quality, excellent quantity for the money and the interlocking trays are a nice touch. Heavy box, sturdy plastic and well designed latches, though plastic I feel those will give me some good years in my shed.

I needed a refresh on my hardware assortment. I was happy to find these with the lidded bins instead of the usual drawer unit – I’ve had those dump the drawers so many times. This seems much more secure for keeping all the parts in their proper place, and the bins lock together well. I do wish each bin had labels that showed what was in each spot – I only got a sheet of paper that showed everything that I’ve kept with the bins. But other than that I’m quite happy with this.

Due to the volume of the hardware and the design of the containers, I find myself frequently having to remove all of the hardware from two of the bins to replace the divider. Very frustrating!! It would have been so much better if these dividers were not removable. I give it 3 stars due to the design of the storage containers. I might take an afternoon and see about removing all of the hardware and gluing the dividers in place to reduce the amount of profanity that spews from my lips each time one of the dividers moves enough for washers or small screws to seep into the other bins…

As a temporary fix until you can purchase the appropriate grade hardware this assortment is great. Also great in applications in which the screws/nuts/bolts are not going to be under any stress.
