Kasa Apple HomeKit Smart Light Switch, KS200 Control your lights, ceiling fans and other fixtures from anywhere with the KS200. The smart switch replaces most of the standard light switches, and connects to your home Wi-Fi in no time through the free Kasa App. Kasa also lets you manage connected fixtures with your smartphone or tablet, including setting schedules, timers and countdowns. For added convenience, you can use your voice to control the KS200 with Siri, Amazon Alexa and Google assistant. Input Voltage: 100 – 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 15 A.

These switches work well, once installed they connect fast and quickly w your network via the Kasa app and Apple Home kit. When the switch is off there is a little circle that illuminates to help you find it in the dark. To add to home kit each switch has its own code that will be covered once you use the plate cover. I’m very satisfied at how fast and easy it added to Apple home kit and the Lasa app. Just make sure your wires has a neutral wire!! Otherwise this will not work!

I am so impressed with this product. I was so close to buying the $50 one that apple sells but found this one on sale for $16 and was hesitant with such a cheap price but I am pleasantly surprised. First off, I am awful when it comes to home improvement. But, I was able to install this myself and if I can do it, ANYONE can. The instructions were very simple and clear, and personally I only needed a flat head, some needle nose pliers, a pencil, an drill and about 20 minutes and that was me moving very slowly and methodically. Came with stickers so you can label each wire so there’s no confusion and once it was installed, the app worked seamlessly and immediately paired with my apple home. Great quality but be aware that the switch is significantly bigger than your average switch and we had to drill new holes because the screws did not line up with the originally light switch. I can’t say enough great things about this switch. It turned my ceiling fan into a “smart fan” and beyond worth $16

Since I live in an apartment, I was looking for something less intrusive and complicated than the builder-grade stuff that came out at the beginning of the smart home trend. These switches fit the bill perfectly.Installation takes about 10 minutes if you even have half an idea what you’re doing. The terminations for the leads being built inside the switch, there are pigtails for the load, ground and neutral wires, and the kit comes with extra large termination caps which make it a breeze to hook up. The small size of the actual switch housing makes it fairly easy to fit it and the cables/caps in a standard new work box.Onboarding via HomeKit was a snap. The included QR code makes it a trivial task to bring the switch into the home and pair it. Total time was less than 5 minutes.Aesthetics are great and I appreciate the addition of a restart button on the front of the switch. You’ll want the Kasa app for firmware updates, but if your home is enclaved I wouldn’t bother with it. All said, I’m very impressed with TPLink for the full experience of these switches.

These switches are perfect for this price. Super easy to install (make sure you have a neutral wire), and they work flawlessly with Home Assistant. No hub needed, and the Wi-Fi connection is solid. The design is sleek and fits right in with my home. Such a great deal for a 3-pack.Only issue is how the faceplate snaps onto the switch, if you’re working in a tight space you might have some trouble snapping it on. You can use rubber washers between the wall box and the switch so it stays in place when you’re trying to snap the faceplate on.

I’ve bought about 6 of these and only had to replace one of them after a year. All the other ones are working great, not sure if the one was just a dud. They are easy to setup and work well with both Alexa and Google.

My hallway overhead fluorescent tube fixture was converted to LED tubes. This switch is able to control it just fine. Biggest complaint is that each companies switches (GE, Kasa etc) only work with their own Android app. Not a problem with after initial set up with Alexa though.

When it worked it worked as expected. Had zero issues with it until about the 6th (almost 7th) month. Light circle kept flashing one/off red/orange, not a slow flash when you first connect it. Tried to reset it restart it, turn off the circuit breaker with no success. I had an extra one and installed. I don’t expect any issues but it was cheap and I can forgive one but not 2 failing on me. Will update again if I see issues with the 2nd one.Update: 07/20/2024Junk. What is with these things? I Installed a 2nd one 6 months ago and guess what? failed 6 months later. i don’t like giving negative reviews but 2 in 12 months for the same circuit is unacceptable. since it’s well past the purchase date, can’t get a refund. going in the garbage can. will be looking at another brand.Update: 08/27/2024Why hasn’t TP-Link addressed the large failure rate of these switches? They are rated highly for ease of use but one of the reviewer earlier said “4 of 9 switches failed.” That’s a 44% failure rate. My 2 of 2 is a 100% failure rate. The one thing that i did like about them is that they are not as deep as others that i’ve found. But the failure rate just doesn’t justify another purchase.

Homekit products are generally a hit or miss. I have had my light switch for one year (Starting November 15, 2023) and it works so good. It also doesn’t look ugly like all the other products online. It has this clicking sound when you touch it, it has a blue ring so you can find it when the lights are off, and the response time really suprised me. The response time is a huge one for me. I have a HomeKit lock, and it takes like 2 minutes of just sitting there to connect and unlock. BUT, this switch is fast, as in responding less than a second fast. In the videos, it takes a second for the lights to turn on because MY FAN IS CRAPPY. But the switch does turn on right as you press the button on my iPad. It’s response time is also immediate even outside. I could only upload one video. I really really recommend this switch, especially with the price putting those Lutron Light Switches to shameeeee.
