First, contrary to other reviews, it appears this does NOT contain lead or chromium. A search of the California Prop 65 website shows the only listing for products by Onlyfire is a type of brass valve. I suspect Amazon is putting the label on all Onlyfire Outdoor LLC products to avoid issues.As to the product, it applies well, but the paper lining to the adhesive does not want to separate easily (a testament to the adhesive strength). I found that using the tip of a utility knife slid into the middle of the paper at the end, and almost parallel with it allowed it to come off well.With the smoker set at 270, the gasket had no melting or other issues and was still holding firm to the metal.

Worked great on my offset smoker. It was enough to do the main chamber with no problem. No smoking leaking when I applied and still to date – it’s been already 3 1/2 years so it will last you. I also used this on my Kamado Kettle Joe, and a small portable grill.

Used this tape to modify an Oklahoma Joe smoker. It worked quite well. The tape backing was a bit difficult to get started but not a huge deal. Just don’t cut each piece before removing the backing. So far it has help up well to very high heat and settled in nicely around the lid. Only issue is that it did shed. You could rub off quite a bit of material. It hasn’t seemed to affect performance and seems to holding up fine for now.

I have a Weber Smokey Mountain 22 and the thing has always leaked like a sieve. In order to keep the smoke in the smoker and minimize smoker temperature fluctuations, I decided to try out this gasket tape. Pretty easy to install and definitely cut down on air leakage. Seems to be holding up well after about four BBQ sessions so I am pretty happy with the product and the results.

It’s difficult to get the paper backing peeled off the gasket to expose the adhesive, and you might even think there isn’t any adhesive, but there is. I found that I had better luck peeling the backing off by starting in the middle along the edge instead of trying to start it from the end.

Worked well once I got the backing off. But the task of separating the backing from the adhesive was near impossible. Ruined one section trying to get it off.

Tried this on my masterbuilt smoker and it sealed up the doors . Very easy to apply and has held up to the heat and moisture without peeling off.

I added the Onlyfire high heat BBQ gasket to my CampChef DLX smoker lid. Although the Camp Chef lid fits properly, it does not have an “air-tight” seal between the top and smoker body. Adding the Onlyfire BBQ high heat gasket replacement to the top enhanced the seal between the hinged top and Camp Chef body to a point where NONE of the smoke (and heat) escaped the top body interface.The addition of the Onlyfire BBQ gasket replacement allowed my Camp Chef smoker to reach an internal tempretures in excess of 500 F (260 C), which is essential to properly cook a pizza in the smoker.Also, adding the Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket improved the smoke flow within the Camp Chef DLX smoker around the food being prepared and out the chimney as designed by the smoker manufacture. Unfortunately, no matter the design of smokers with hinged lids, there is never a tight fit between the hinged top and the smoker body. Use of the Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket soles this problem simply and inexpensively.Although Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket is great, I must deduct one star due to the difficulty in peeling the paper from the adhesive to allow affixing the gasket to the grill or smoker. Durability was not rated as the Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket has only been on my Camp Chef DLX smoker for a week at the time of this review.

Been working for years
I bought this in 2022 for my offset stick burner. I put the gasket on my barrel lid and the door to the fire box. Both are still there and working great. I found that even preventing that heat around the door from escaping made a difference with helping me to regulate the smoke chamber. The added smoke is noticeable in the food. All doors leak, so grab some of this stuff. I’m buying another roll as I just bought a pellet grill and the door leaks like crazy. Every bit counts.
