   I purchased the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi to replace another model, ULTRALOQ Smart Door Lock, that I purchased in 2021. The ULTRALOQ Smart would not consistently “Auto Unlock” upon my return home. Many other reviewers reported the same issue after a software update. I was unable to reinstall/restart/redo set up etc in order for that feature to work. All of the other features of the ULTRALOQ Smart work as expected. I have reinstalled the ULTRALOQ Smart on a different door for continued use for code entry, auto lock, and remote functions etc.The install and set-up of the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi was simple as per the instructions. As I read numerous reviews, it seems that many issues with the functionality of the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi could be related to improper alignment of the lock/bolt & door jam, improper fingerprint storage, and attempts to use a 5g WiFi network (requires a 2.4g network as do many cameras and smart home devices).So far, the fingerprint reader has worked 100% to unlock the door. I stored two of my prints, and was careful to place my finger (clean and dry) at different angles as per the instructions to ensure that a large area of my fingerprint was stored. I tested and retested the use of my fingerprint (wet, dry, dirty) and did not experience any problems with the fingerprint unlock function.The Auto Unlock feature was my primary reason for purchase of this lock. It has worked each and every time. I do like the “green light ring” that indicates that the door is unlocked as I approach the door. The Auto Unlock feature must be enabled with the U Home app, requires 2.4g WiFi, and “always on” location services for the U Home app within your cell phone operating system settings.Another feature that I like is Auto Lock – I have set this lock to Auto Lock after 15 minutes on a door used most often for ‘in and out” activities to unload groceries, get the mail etc. The Auto Lock Timing for this lock can be set to Auto Lock after 10seconds to 30minutes within the U Home app. The timing range is expanded for this model (the range for the older locks is 10seconds to 5minutes).I have been pleased with U Home/ULTRALOQ for many years. I find the products reliable and easy to use. I’ll add an update if I experience any problems with the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi.

   EDIT: Customer service reached out to me and helped me solve my problem. Adjusting my rating up because this company stands by their product.—-I’ve had two of these locks for a couple years now. They were never 100% reliable but have gotten less reliable over time.The good:Nice looking and sturdy lock. Relatively simple installation. Easy to switch out batteries. Keypad always work.The bad: fingerprint sensor used to work 95% of the time. Now at least once a week, it fails to work and I have to use the keypad. Annoying.The ugly: I think UTec ought to be ashamed at how bad the connectivity is both over WiFi and Bluetooth. It was always bad, but now it downright doesn’t work. I get an error when trying to unlock remotely. When it has worked in the past, it would be sporadic and take up to 30 seconds to unlock.In the end, I do regret this purchase.

   Lock had some great features but a few things that may need to be changed.Fingerprint biometric security – One of the primary reasons I purchased this lock. If your read the instructions it’s easy to set up. Also the log feature letting me know who comes in and records itThe WIFI was easy to set up. Just add you user name & passwordThe lock its self was easy to install. But the sensor was tricky as most doors have trim and had to cut the trim to mount the sensor, The dead bolt itself was the trickiest it’s self bought 3 of these locks. you have to get them so lined up straight so the lock works smoothly. They also if not lined up they Jam. The Pro model dead bolt latch was messed up and jammed many times I worked hours to get it to function smoothly so it would lock on it’s own. Ended up using the Schlage dead bolt latch that I had. I drilled holes out so the bolts would fit. and just like that. It worked prefect. Locks on it’s own and I had it working in minutes. This I think is the main problem with this lock. It jams and you have to make sure it’s lined up straight. But better yet if they had Schlage make the dead bolt latch it would be the perfect lock so This is why I give it 4 stars. If you have a Schlage latch in good shape you may want to think about using it or your might have to return it. I almost did. but after trying that it fixed it 100%. I like many of it’s features. Make sure you have your bottom lock hold the door tight so the WIFI lock can lock perfectly every time.Bottom line is it’s a good lock for the money, It is a little bulky and in certain doors it wouldn’t work. Went with the level lock brand for the other door. And all three of my locks had troubles making the latch work smoothly one so bad I changed the latch. Sensor too was not very clear in the video as how to mount it. So this is why a 4 star. The app works pretty good.

   I’ve installed a lot of locks over the years, and this one is really solid and robust. The bolts that secure the outside keypad to the inside are beefy. The deadbolt locks into a solid, deep bowl for a strike plate, or else you can use your existing. The strike plate also comes with screws long enough to get into your stud walls.I was worried that I could not setup a lock/unlock schedule. This is not a feature of the Utec app., however, this was easily accomplished by linking the door lock to Alexa and setting up a “routine”. The lock has user codes for each person, or you can use a common one. Setting up the fingerprints was easy, and effective. You can also lock and unlock via Alexa. If you ask it to unlock, Alexa will ask you for the code. It will also report back that the action was completed. Very nice! A door sensor is included. With the door sensor, you can enable notification that the door isn’t fully closed, and maybe other features as well. Auto lock after “x” seconds/minutes is also easy to use, and adjust the timer, or turn off. Will probably be adding more to other doors!

   I bought 5 of these locks. The first 3 never worked 100% as they took forever for the app to connect but it worked somewhat. But the last 2 locks, I have no idea what happened to the quality. Takes up to 30 seconds to connect to the app to finally unlock form the phone and the fingerprint sensor keeps showing error no matter what angle i put my finger at. AND… the lock seems to have broke physically, it is literally jamming 80% of thee way and won’t lock fully. For $200+ I expected a bit better than this.EDIT:Customer service is great. They sent a new lock and the issue is resolved

   Good product and good suport
   I’ve had a few other door smart devices before and this one stands out with all the functionality and the app. Everything works really well.There was a small error on my part, I thought the model I had ordered came with a sensor that allowed the lock to detect when it was closed, but unfortunately as I discovered later on once I touched base with Utec support team I discovered the one I got doesn’t support the sensor so it locks with the timer only. It’s not a big deal as I’ve other doors I can use the one I ordered and I can get the correct one next time.Support was super responsive and knowledgeable, including advising what model I should get to have all the functionalities I wanted.Definitely a nice product.

   Super buen producto
   Funciona muy bien. Lo mejor es que funciona con las huellas dactilares ya que es algo muy muy practico. La apertura automatica por bluetooth (por cercania) no siempre me funciona como me gustaria, pero la verdad es que tampoco es algo tan critico si funcionan las huellas. Agregar personas es muy sencillo tambien. Super recomendable.
